Job summary

Richardson International Limited in Winchester, VA is seeking a Sanitation Technician at our pasta production facility. You will follow sanitation checklists, stock supplies, monitor pest activity, report issues, and support safety procedures across a busy plant.

The team produces Ronzoni pasta and maintains high standards for cleanliness and compliance. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, are 18+, can work weekends/holidays/overtime, and prefer manufacturing experience in food

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalenta from an accredited institution.

Responsibilities

• Follow sanitation checklist and best practices to complete regular, thorough cleaning of assigned areas (restrooms, breakrooms, hallways, entrances, locker rooms, offices, laboratory), and maintain master sanitation schedule.
• Maintain proper inventory by stocking cleaning supplies, paper goods, chemicals and cleaning equipment
• Monitor pest traps and activity on a weekly basis, and proactively report any signs of infestations to leadership
• Monitor and report all product protection issues and maintenance needs as they arise
• Practice appropriate safety procedures when performing work assignments, and support clean-up in the event of an accident or injury on company property

We currently have an opportunity for a Sanitation Technician at our Winchester, VA pasta production facility, where we produce Ronzoni pasta.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Manufacturing experience, with strong preference for experience in a food manufacturing environment

Physical Requirements

• Qualified candidates must be able to perform the following physical job requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation:
• Lift up to 50 pounds; anything over this weight will require team lifting techniques or the use of mechanical lifting devices
• Work in hot, humid, and cold manufacturing environment
• 6+ hours per shift Sit, stoop, reach above shoulders, climb and work off ladder/stairs, and perform fine manipulation for 3+ hours per shift
• Bend, crouch, and kneel for 6+ hours per shift
• Stand, walk, perform simple grasping, and push/pull for 8+ hours per shift
• Must be able to express or exchange ideas by means of spoken or written word and distinguish objects or equipment visually
