Job summary

Kellanova is seeking an on-site Quality & Food Safety Manager for our Cary, NC facility. You will lead quality and food safety efforts, partnering with manufacturing leadership and site teams to ensure compliance with FDA, GMP and internal policies.

You will direct a 24/7 quality and food safety team, drive improvements, and manage audits and corrective actions to maintain high standards across all brands. Compensation reflects leadership responsibilities and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study.
• HACCP certified.
• Frequently demonstrated quality & food safety experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Extensive knowledge of applicable regulations, GMP and Food Safety standards in accordance with the FDA.
• Strong auditing and assessment skills.
• Strong technical and software knowledge.
• People and process leadership/management experience.
• SQF Practitioner Certification and/or PCQI Certification.

Responsibilities

• Quality Leader – Lead quality and food safety programs for some of our most trusted brands, ensuring the Business Unit complies with all quality and food safety laws, regulations, and corporate policies. Drive continuous improvement through strong operational management and disciplined execution across all products.
• Plant Partnerships – Partner closely with the Site QFS Manager and Business Unit QFS Managers to implement programs and share best practices. Collaborate with Business Unit leadership and plant teams to ensure compliance and identify quality and food safety risks.
• People Management – Lead a team of leaders and technicians responsible for quality and food safety in a 24/7 operation. Develop, inspire, and energize the team to deliver high performance and strong self‑accountability through effective people leadership and influence.
• Audits – Maintain high internal and external standards, and lead the coordination, preparation, and corrective action management for annual internal and third‑party audits.

You will drive results by ensuring all quality and food safety standards are met in alignment with Kellanova’s policies, procedures, and practices. This is an on-site role at our Cary, NC manufacturing facility, where your leadership will directly impact production and team success.

We’re Looking for Someone With

Compensation

The annual salary range is $120,470 - $180,705, which is based on various factors such as location, experience and skill. Discretionary bonuses based on company and individual performance are also available.
