Job summary

Kellanova seeks a Quality & Food Safety Manager to lead quality and food safety programs at the Cary, NC plant. You will work with site leadership and teams to ensure compliance with FDA GMP and corporate policies, delivering continuous improvement across products.

You will manage a 24/7 team, coordinate audits, and drive corrective actions while mentoring staff and promoting best practices. This on-site role emphasizes strong leadership and regulatory expertise in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field requested.
• HACCP certification required.
• Extensive manufacturing quality & food safety experience.
• Strong knowledge of FDA GMP and Food Safety standards.

Responsibilities

Job description

As a Quality & Food Safety Manager, you will lead quality and food safety efforts working closely with manufacturing, plant leadership, and plant employees. You will drive results by ensuring all quality and food safety standards are met in alignment with Kellanova’s policies, procedures, and practices. This is an on-site role at our Cary, NC manufacturing facility, where your leadership will directly impact production and team success.

A Taste Of What You’ll Be Doing

• Quality Leader – Lead quality and food safety programs for some of our most trusted brands, ensuring the Business Unit complies with all quality and food safety laws, regulations, and corporate policies. Drive continuous improvement through strong operational management and disciplined execution across all products.
• Plant Partnerships – Partner closely with the Site QFS Manager and Business Unit QFS Managers to implement programs and share best practices. Collaborate with Business Unit leadership and plant teams to ensure compliance and identify quality and food safety risks.
• People Management – Lead a team of leaders and technicians responsible for quality and food safety in a 24/7 operation. Develop, inspire, and energize the team to deliver high performance and strong self‑accountability through effective people leadership and influence.
• Audits – Maintain high internal and external standards, and lead the coordination, preparation, and corrective action management for annual internal and third‑party audits.

We’re Looking for Someone With

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study
• HACCP certified
• Frequently demonstrated quality & food safety experience in a manufacturing environment
• Extensive knowledge of applicable regulations, GMP and Food Safety standards in accordance with the FDA
• Strong auditing and assessment skills
• Strong technical and software knowledge
• People and process leadership/management experience
• SQF Practitioner Certification and/or PCQI Certification

Compensation

• The annual salary range is $120,470 - $180,705, which is based on various factors such as location, experience and skill.
• Discretionary bonuses based on company and individual performance are also available.
