Job summary

Carter Machinery in Richmond, VA is seeking a Quality Analyst to develop and maintain supplier quality metrics, dashboards, and data-driven reports. You will coordinate with the data team, supply chain, and customer-facing staff to align tools and processes while ensuring quality documentation compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Quality Management, Information Systems, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum one year of experience in quality systems administration, quality assurance, manufacturing, supply chain, or related field.
• Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) and quality tools (CxAlloy) and project management platforms (Jira, Smartsheet, Salesforce) strongly preferred.
• Experience developing standard work, SOWs, or process governance documentation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain supplier quality metrics.
• Oversee development and validate quality dashboards and reporting tools to support data-driven decision-making.
• Manage supplier scorecard data preparation and assembly.
• Manage quality documentation compliance.
• Prepare and clean customer data for analysis, ensuring accuracy, formatting, and organization prior to team review.
• Approve quality standard work in compliance with guidelines.
• Monitor and manage existing standard work periodic reviews.
• Perform recurring data exports and ad hoc data requests.
• Serve as primary quality data liaison to the data team, supply chain, and customer-facing teams to align tools, metrics, and processes.
• Work with the team to achieve Continuous Improvement goals.
