Qualifications

• Able to perform safety-critical functions and ensure parts meet designated specs and government regulations.
• Able to recognize and call out critical characteristic symbols from blueprints.
• Inspect parts, products and processes to ensure conformance with standards using fixed or variable measuring instruments.
• Support gauge calibration and calibration programs to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment.
• Follow and support inspection, testing, and evaluation methods to meet customer requirements.
• Follow 6S & Safety Guidelines (Safety, Sort, Straighten, Scrub, Standardize, Sustain).

Responsibilities

• Inspect parts and processes to ensure conformance with standards using fixed or variable measuring instruments.
• Support programs to evaluate precision and accuracy of production, measuring, and test equipment (gauge calibration).
• Support methods and standards for inspection, testing, and evaluation to meet customer requirements.
• Floor inspection and process audits as required.
• Follow all 6S & Safety Guidelines (Safety, Sort, Straighten, Scrub, Standardize, Sustain).
• MRB delegation and authority/disposition.

Summary:

Support the implementation of quality processes that are designed to achieve zero defective components in manufacturing. Provide additional quality support services for the facility as required to support organizational goals and initiatives.

Preferred Educational Experience:

High school diploma, ASQ certification or equivalent job experience preferred.

Preferred Work Experience:

Two (2) years of manufacturing experience preferred.

Essential Functions:

• Ability to perform all safety critical functions. The product must be built to the designated specs approved and can not be deviated or substituted. The control, performance and tolerance are essential for the part to function so that it does not jeopardize public safety or it’s compliance with government regulations.
• Must be able to recognize and call the critical characteristic symbols as listed on the blueprints.
• Inspects parts, products and/or processes to ensure conformance with standards by utilizing fixed or variable measuring instruments.
• Support programs to evaluate the precision and accuracy of production, measuring, and test equipment (gauge calibration).
• Support implemented methods and standards for inspection, testing, and evaluation to meet customer requirements.
