Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health in Morehead City, NC is seeking a Qualified Professional for Peer Support Services to provide screening, evaluations, treatment planning, counseling and crisis stabilization for adults in outpatient mental health and substance use care.

You will collaborate with physicians and community partners, develop person-centered plans, coordinate referrals, and support clients across life domains within a Monday–Friday 8am–5pm schedule and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from a college or university accredited by USDOE, CHEA or CACREP.
  • Minimum of Two (2) years’ experience working with the supported population and meets qualifications for Qualified Professional.
  • Must be or have been a recipient of MH or SA or both services in the past.
  • Valid, unrestricted North Carolina driver’s license; reliable transportation; and current vehicle insurance.
  • Proficiency with EHR systems or technically savvy.

Your Role in Our Mission

As a Qualified Professional for Peer Support Service, you will provides screening, evaluations, diagnostic assessments, treatment planning, counseling, psychotherapy, crisis stabilization, and referral services for adults receiving outpatient mental health and substance use treatment. Working collaboratively with physicians, clinical staff, community partners, and support systems, this role develops person-centered treatment and aftercare plans, facilitates individual and group services, coordinates referrals and community resources, and supports client progress across life domains.

This position follows a Monday - Friday Scheduled: 8am - 5pm

  • Competitive pay: $18.00/Hr. - $24.00/Hr.

  • Valid, unrestricted North Carolina driver’s license; reliable transportation; and current vehicle
    insurance.
  • Proficiency with EHR systems or technically savvy.
