Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health in Morehead City, NC seeks a full-time Qualified Professional for Peer Support Services to screen, assess, plan treatment, and provide counseling for adults in outpatient settings. You will collaborate with clinicians and community partners to connect resources and support progress across life domains.

The role follows a Monday–Friday 8am–5pm schedule, with a comprehensive benefits package and a focus on professional growth within a leading mental health and substance use

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a college or university accredited by USDOE, CHEA or CACREP.
• Minimum of Two (2) years’ experience working with the supported population and meets qualifications for Qualified Professional.
• Must be or have been a recipient of MH or SA or both services in the past.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
• Valid, unrestricted North Carolina driver’s license; reliable transportation; and current vehicle insurance.
• Proficiency with EHR systems or technically savvy.

Your Role in Our Mission

As a Qualified Professional for Peer Support Service, you will provides screening, evaluations, diagnostic assessments, treatment planning, counseling, psychotherapy, crisis stabilization, and referral services for adults receiving outpatient mental health and substance use treatment. Working collaboratively with physicians, clinical staff, community partners, and support systems, this role develops person-centered treatment and aftercare plans, facilitates individual and group services, coordinates referrals and community resources, and supports client progress across life domains.

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive pay: $18.00/Hr. - $24.00/Hr.
