Apploi is seeking a compassionate Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) to join our long-term or assisted living care team in Terre Haute, IN. You will administer medications, monitor vitals, assist with ADLs, and provide emotional support to residents and their families.

Candidates should be state-certified as a QMA with a strong ability to collaborate within a team and a genuine passion for elderly care. Prior facility experience is a plus but not required.

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician.
• Monitor vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, and pulse rate.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Provide emotional support to patients and families.
• Educate patients and families about health care maintenance.
• Observe and report changes in patient’s condition to the supervising nurse.
• Assist with geriatric care needs.

Qualifications:

• Must be certified as a Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) by the state
• Must have no finding in the registry concerning abuse, neglect, or misappropriation of resident property.
• Skilled at tackling numerous tasks and makes quick decisions.
• Can foster good resident and family relationships.
• Ability to effectively collaborate within a team environment.
• A passion for working with elderly residents.
• Experience in a long-term or assisted living facility a plus, but not required.
