Job summary

RAVE Aerospace LLC is seeking a Qualification Engineer to lead the qualification testing of standard and custom hardware and software systems. The role develops test procedures, assesses equipment, and may assist with test fixtures, while supporting regulatory readiness for qualification testing.

You will collaborate with Design, Software, and regulatory teams, draft QTPs and QTRs, and coordinate with FAA, OEMs, and third-party labs. Strong leadership and hands-on test experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field required
• 6+ years in a similar role with qualification testing
• Experience in an AS9100 quality environment
• Familiarity with FAA Part 25 and EASA CS Part 25 requirements for airborne IFE equipment
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and test documentation standards
• Hands-on experience with environmental and EMI testing equipment

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Design and Software teams to identify support equipment for qualification testing
• Draft qualification test procedures and reports (QTP and QTR) for LRUs
• Coordinate with third-party labs and regulatory agencies
• Manage the formal qualification test program schedule and resources
• Integrate test lab and support equipment
• Coordinate with regulatory authorities and OEMs (FAA, Boeing, Airbus)
• Provide status reports and feedback on QTPs/QTRs to junior staff
• Mentor and train junior team members
