Job summary

Micro Stamping Corporation is looking for a Quality Assurance Technician I to ensure goods meet manufacturing standards and are free of defects. Key responsibilities include maintaining SPC limits, performing inspections at various production stages, and compiling statistical data to guarantee quality.

  • Assist in engineering capability studies.
  • Assist in gage repeatability and reproducibility studies.

Job description

The Quality Assurance Technician I is responsible to test and ensure that goods meet manufacturing standards and are free of defects. Tests and inspects products at various stages of production process and compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain SPC limit at or above the corporate target.
  • Complete in-process inspections in 2 hours or less.
  • Complete raw material incoming inspections in 25 days or less.
  • Perform in-process inspections.
  • Perform raw material incoming inspection and movements through ERP system.
  • Assist with First Piece / First Article, incoming processed material, and final inspections.
  • Assist in engineering capability studies.
  • Assist in gage repeatability and reproducibility studies.
  • Record test data, applying statistical quality control procedures.
  • Provide communication to Calibration Technicians of any additions, deletions, or changes to the process gages and equipment.
  • Manage storage of samples and records.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, and/or work instructions.

This position has no talent management responsibilities.

The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and odors, dusts, mists, fumes and/or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
