Job summary

Kuehne+Nagel’s Contract Logistics team seeks a QSHE Manager to implement, maintain, and audit quality, safety, health and environmental systems at our Piscataway, NJ distribution facility.

You will lead investigations, develop corrective actions, train staff, and ensure compliance with ISO, Lean, OSHA and DOT standards. A Bachelor’s in a related field and 4+ years in QA/SHE in warehousing are required; 2+ years using quality systems; 1+ year leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 4+ years of experience in Quality, Safety and Health, and Environmental in a warehousing or distribution environment.
• 2+ years’ experience using quality systems.
• 1+ years of leadership or training experience.
• Strong knowledge of occupational health, safety, workplace hazards, and associated controls.
• Knowledge of ISO, Lean, OSHA standards and DOT.

Responsibilities

• Be the subject matter expert for quality and safety matters.
• Conduct investigations and lead root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Coordinate and implement related standards and procedures.
• Train staff and supervisors on accident and injury prevention, product and process safety, and excellent work practices.
• Support leadership and HR to ensure DEI programs are embraced and valued.
• Maintain employee awareness and compliance with QSHE.
• Monitor and advise on product quality matters.
• Conduct audits to evaluate the effectiveness of systems and procedures; identify and assist with improvements.
• Assess and prevent health and safety hazards and implement corrective actions.
• Track and validate approved suppliers list through supplier management tools.
