Senior Lifestyle in Colorado Springs is seeking a licensed medication aide to administer medications safely to residents, following the 6 rights and MAR/TAR records. You will manage inventory, restock medications, perform daily cleaning of med carts, and document vitals and daily notes with a strong emphasis on accuracy.

Required: at least 6 months in a senior care setting and a state-specific QMAP certificate, plus excellent verbal and written communication and a professional demeanor.

Qualifications

• Must have 6 months of experience in a senior care setting.
• Must hold a state-specific QMAP certificate.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely administer medications following the 6 rights of medication administration.
• Count and document narcotics administered to residents.
• Manage inventory of medications, including ordering, receiving, storing, and checking expirations.
• Restock and clean medication carts; conduct weekly deep cleaning.
• Verify MARs at changeover times and report discrepancies.
• Provide personal care and general nursing care (vital signs, temperatures, blood pressure, weights).
• Document information in the daily log.
