Job summary

Rocky Mountain Assisted Living in Centennial, CO seeks a QMAP/Caregiver to provide compassionate care for residents under supervision of the House Manager, Wellness Director, and Resident Care Coordinator.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, administering medications per regulations, documenting interactions, and supporting activities and transfers throughout a 12-hour shift.

Qualifications

• Must have a sympathetic attitude toward the care of the elderly.
• Ability to carry out written and verbal directions and to speak, read and write fluently in English.
• Current QMAP Certification
• Current 1st Aid, and CPR Certification
• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED
• At least 1 year experience providing care to the elderly or persons with disabilities.
• Ability to safely lift up to 30 pounds.
• Basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists residents with activities of daily living in accordance with resident’s care plan and RMAL policies.
• Understands, adheres to, and promotes RMAL policies and procedures.
• Understands, adheres to, and promotes Resident Rights
• Administers routine and PRN medications in accordance with Colorado State Health Department regulations and RMAL policies.
• Communicates directly with assigned house manager, wellness director, and director of resident care.
• Follows activities calendar, prepares, and conducts activities; ensures at least one activity per shift.
• Reports items running low in the home to the House Manager.
• Performs housekeeping duties; keeps the home clean and tidy.
• Participates in orientation, training, and in-service programs as scheduled.
• Documents in logs and MAR prior to leaving every shift; maintains professionalism.
• Maintains a positive and professional attitude while representing RMAL.
• Adheres to safe food practices and follows the weekly menu; communicates issues with meals.
