Job summary

Coal Creek Post Acute and Assisted Living is hiring a QMAP to join our team on a PRN schedule. You will provide medication administration and assist with daily living activities, while supervising residents who self-administer medications within regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• Requires a QMAP Certificate.
• Will also accept a caregiver.
• Ability to lift at least 51 lbs regularly and assist residents.
• Fluently read, write, speak, and understand English.
• May require memory care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide residents with medication administration and treatment assistance per caregiver orders.
• Supervise residents who self-administer medication following guidelines.
• Report changes in residents' physical condition or behavior.
• Maintain resident records regarding medication distribution and activities.
• Assist with daily living activities including bathing, grooming, dressing, and escort service.
• Follow the schedule set by supervisor for resident needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What to Expect:

• Provide residents with medication administration and treatment assistance and services according to the health care provider's orders
• Supervise residents who self-administer medication while following community and regulatory guidelines
• Report any changes in residents' physical condition and/or behaviors
• Maintain resident records regarding medication distribution, leisure activities, incidents and observations
• Provide assistance as needed with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, escort service, and other activities of daily living.
• Follow the schedule of resident's needs set out by supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Successful Candidates:

• Requires a QMAP Certificate.

• Ability to lift at least 51 lbs on a regular basis and ability to help residents who require physical assistance.
• Fluently read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• May require experience with caring for residents with memory impairment if assigned to memory care areas of a community.

Rate Range: $19-$22/ hour
