Avenues Recovery Center in Indianapolis, IN is seeking qualified Medical Assistants (QMAs) to support our detox and residential treatment teams. You will provide quality medical care, assist with nursing duties, and help coordinate care for clients.

This role requires strong communication, teamwork, and knowledge of substance use and its bio-psychosocial impacts. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities to grow within a nationwide network.

Formación

• High School diploma/ GED or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Valid licensure to serve as a Medical Assistant in this state-QMA
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Collaborative, multitasking, and time-management skills
• Knowledge of substance use and its bio-psychosocial consequences

Responsabilidades

• Provide quality, timely medical care to stabilize clients and enable them to engage fully in treatment
• Assist with all nursing shift duties (vitals, drug screens, medication management, charting and reporting etc.)
• Collaborate with extended medical and clinical teams for seamless coordination of care
• Manage, order and re-stock all medical supplies as necessary
• Schedule medical appointments and arrange aftercare providers for post-discharge
• Assist with all pharmacy needs and prescription authorizations
• If in recovery, a minimum one-year period of sustained sobriety is required.
