Job summary

Riverwalk Communities in Indiana is seeking a reliable Qualified Medication Aide to join our long-term care team. You will administer oral, topical, ophthalmic, nasal, and transdermal medications per physician orders, and follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration while reporting any side effects to the supervising nurse.

Qualified candidates must hold current QMA certification in Indiana and CNA certification, be CPR/BLS certified, and demonstrate strong attention to detail and

Qualifications

• Current, valid QMA certification in Indiana.
• Current CNA certification required.
• ISDH-approved QMA course in Indiana and active listing.
• Current BLS/CPR certification required.
• Minimum 6 months CNA experience preferred — new QMAs welcome.

Responsibilities

• Administer oral, topical, ophthalmic, nasal, and transdermal medications per physician orders.
• Follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration on every pass.
• Observe residents for side effects or reactions and report to the supervising nurse.
• Document all medications accurately and immediately in the MAR.
• Assist with blood glucose monitoring and report results to the nurse.
• Perform narcotic counts with the supervising nurse at shift change.
• Assist residents with bathing, grooming, dressing, and personal care.
• Obtain and document vital signs, weights, and intake and output.
• Observe and promptly report changes in resident condition to the nurse.
• Follow infection control, safety, and facility compliance standards.

We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Qualified Medication Aide to join our long-term care team. You will administer medications to residents, provide direct personal care, and serve as a critical safety checkpoint on the nursing floor. What You'll Do

• Current BLS/CPR certification required

• Minimum 6 months CNA experience preferred — new QMAs welcome

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to medication safety

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work under nurse supervision

• Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays
