Job summary

HarbourVest in Boston seeks a Director of Client Service for Quantitative Investment Sciences to lead the QIS client service team, shaping a scalable service model and ensuring a superior client experience. You will partner with QIS, Investor Relations, Technology, and Operations to optimize processes and communication.

Strong background in institutional client service with quantitative literacy and excellent presentation/writing skills is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred in finance, economics, mathematics, or related field.
• 7–10 years of client-facing experience in institutional client service/relationship management within private markets, asset management, or financial technology.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint; Salesforce familiarity is advantageous.
• Ability to translate complex quantitative concepts for non-technical audiences and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage the QIS Client Service team, developing a scalable, repeatable model delivering a superior client experience.
• Serve as the primary contact for existing clients and coordinate QIS-related requests to ensure a holistic experience.
• Ensure all QIS-related requests are logged in the system for benchmarking and reporting.
• Define, measure, and communicate service KPIs to internal stakeholders and roll out new QIS procedures.
• Collaborate with QIS, Investor Relations, Technology, and Operations to resolve issues and improve client experience.
• Develop client-facing communications, FAQs, and standard responses to guarantee consistent, high-quality support.
