Job description

Danville Services is dedicated to helping every person achieve his or her desired quality of life. People with a disability often require assistance to navigate life’s daily challenges. Are you looking to make a difference in people's lives? Do you want a job that is more than just a paycheck? Are you empathetic and compassionate? Help adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities achieve their unique desired quality of life.

The ideal candidate already knows they are meant for this position. Whether you have recent experience as a Program Director or have been missing this type of work, you are ready to apply your knowledge in this administrative position. We understand different people work differently, and we want everyone we hire to be inspired and love what they do. This means that we provide the resources to continue learning and give you the flexibility to tailor your schedule to the needs of each program.

We take education seriously; part of that philosophy includes the ongoing support and continued training of our Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professionals (QIDP). We are looking for experienced Program Directors and leaders who embrace those ideals and love bringing joy to others. This is a fast-paced position that requires organization and the ability to problem-solve.

As a member of the support team, the QIDP/Program Director provides administrative leadership to ensure that programs align with Danville’s mission and values. They are responsible for ensuring that services provided to individuals are high-quality, person-centered, and fully compliant with all applicable Danville, state, and federal regulations. The position actively promotes self-determination and empowers individuals receiving services to advocate for themselves. They ensure that each person understands their rights and is supported in exercising those rights in a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment.

Emergency-related calls should be expected as they arise with follow-through on incident reporting. Danville will provide the tools and training to be successful.

Danville offers outstanding benefits. Employees enjoy a flexible paid time off schedule, medical, dental, and life insurance, short-term and long-term disability, an Employee Assistant Program, and ongoing training and development. Finally, Danville employees see that they are truly making a difference in the lives of the people supported.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Education: An unencumbered RN license, or a bachelor's degree in the human services field, which qualifies as QIDP.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience working with people with intellectual or development disabilities. Supervisory and quality assurance and employee training experience preferred.
  • Training/Certifications: CPR, First Aid, state-required behavior support training, medication administration training (or willingness to obtain).

A current resume and proof of educational background (photo of diploma or transcripts) are required to be submitted with this application. This posted position requires the ability to drive personal and company vehicles. People receiving support are transported by trained employees in company vehicles. Danville requires our drivers to be at least 21 and have at least 3 years of driving experience. In addition, Danville drivers must have a current Nevada DL that meets our safety standards.
