QCS Resident Service Technician (Hawesville, KY)

Reporting Line

This position reports to: IAPI Service Midwest Region Operations M

Your Role and Responsibilities
  1. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of proprietary ABB hardware and software.
  2. Assist with projects, upgrades, new installations, and advanced services.
  3. This role is onsite. #LI-Onsite
  4. Contribute to Process Automation and Process Industries in Hawesville, KY.
  5. Maintain quality control hardware and software, including cleaning sensors, troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues, and maintaining the entire ABB quality control solution.
  6. Respond to customer inquiries about the ABB system, resolve service issues, and foster customer relationships.
  7. Communicate effectively with plant operators, management, vendors, and ABB personnel.
  8. Provide 24-hour emergency support on a rotation basis.
  9. Document work performed for maintenance tasks.
  10. Participate in projects like upgrades and new installations, coordinating with other teams.
  11. Follow all safety policies and complete required training.
Qualifications
  • Associate degree in a related field with 5+ years of relevant experience or a high school diploma/GED with 7+ years of experience.
  • Mechanical and electrical aptitude, understanding of electrical theory and safety.
  • Ability to read electrical drawings and troubleshoot electrical systems up to 240 VAC/870 VDC.
  • Experience with preventive maintenance and electrical testing equipment.
  • Basic knowledge of paper making process and process control is a plus.
  • Exposure to DCS programming and troubleshooting is beneficial.
  • Up to 15% domestic travel may be required.
  • No visa sponsorship available; candidates must have work authorization in the US.
