Job summary

TalentBridge is partnered with an established manufacturer in the Charlotte area to identify an experienced Quality Control Technician II to join its Quality team. This hands-on inspection role supports a manufacturing environment that produces welded and fabricated components and assemblies.

The position involves weld inspection, dimensional inspection and NDE/NDT, along with incoming material, in-process and final inspections.

Qualifications

• Hands-on quality inspection experience in fabrication, welding, or industrial equipment environments.
• Experience inspecting welded and fabricated components.
• Experience performing dimensional inspections from drawings or specifications.
• Experience with NDE/NDT inspection methods.
• Familiarity with carbon steel and stainless steel fabrication.
• Knowledge of welding, forming, machining processes and related documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming, in-process and final inspections of fabricated components, weldments, machined parts and assemblies.
• Inspect welds and fabricated products for conformance with drawings, specifications and customer requirements.
• Perform dimensional inspections using tape measures, micrometers, gauges and other inspection equipment.
• Perform and/or support NDE/NDT inspections and document results.
• Inspect incoming materials and supplier components for conformance to specs and purchasing requirements.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, welding requirements and inspection documentation.
• Prepare inspection and NDE reports and document findings in the quality system.
• Identify nonconforming materials or workmanship and communicate findings to internal teams.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering and suppliers to resolve quality issues.
• Interface with customers and third-party inspectors as needed.
• Occasionally travel to customer or supplier locations to perform or support inspections.
