Job summary

Premier Pump & Power in Houston, Texas, seeks a Quality Control Technician to inspect, test, and document quality throughout production. Qualifications

• Inspecting and testing at various production stages with raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
• Proficiency in using measurement tools, testing equipment, and QC methodologies.
• Attention to detail with meticulous inspection and documentation.
• Analytical skills to identify trends and troubleshoot quality issues.
• Ability to read technical specifications and author QC docs in English.
• Strong communication and teamwork to implement corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Inspecting and testing: Conduct routine quality inspections at various stages of production, including raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
• Using measurement tools: Utilizing tools and equipment to measure product dimensions, characteristics, and performance.
• Identifying defects: Recognizing deviations from quality standards and documenting them.
• Recording and reporting: Maintaining accurate records of inspection results and non-conformance.
• Equipment maintenance: Setting up, calibrating, and maintaining testing equipment.
• Collaboration: Working with production teams, engineers, and departments to address quality problems.
• Documentation: Creating and maintaining QC documentation, such as inspection reports and work instructions.
• Continuous improvement: Suggesting process improvements and QC initiatives.
• Safety compliance: Following safety guidelines and maintaining a clean work area.
• Training: Training production staff on QC procedures and standards.
• Production planning: Maintaining schedules and coordinating with departments to meet deadlines.
