Job summary

Granite Construction is seeking a Quality Control Technician to sample, test, and inspect construction materials in field and laboratory settings. You will compile and evaluate statistical data to maintain product quality and reliability while adhering to supplier and owner specifications.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of related experience, basic Excel skills, and the ability to read measurements. Must follow OSHA safety policies and maintain thorough QC records and logs throughout production

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent years of experience.
• 2+ years of related experience preferred.
• Basic proficiency in Excel is required.

Responsibilities

• Test and inspect aggregates and asphalt products in field or lab to ensure specifications are met.
• Collect material samples and manage QC logs and reports.
• Communicate and schedule QC activities with crew and inspection personnel.
• Interpret specifications and discuss results with crew and inspection staff.
• Follow OSHA safety policies and maintain a safe work environment.
