Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure, Inc. is seeking a Quality Control Technician for its Ogden, UT facility.

The successful candidate will perform daily QC functions on raw materials, in-process components and finished concrete products in an industrial manufacturing setting. You will work under the Quality Control Manager, maintain records, participate in corrective actions, operate lab equipment, and help ensure product quality and compliance with company standards.

Qualifications

• Prior QC experience in construction preferred, concrete a plus.
• Basic computer skills and ability to read and apply simple instructions.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work in indoor/outdoor environments.
• Certification such as ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician within first months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Participate in Corrective Action Reports for nonconforming product
• Monitor production operations and reporting of deficiencies as required
• Perform material gradation testing as necessary
• Perform daily wet tests for concrete production pours
• Perform daily compressive strength testing of hardened concrete specimens
• Maintain record keeping of quality documents, reports, inspections, etc.
• Maintain calibration and maintenance of lab equipment as required
• Report to management team on process improvements, repetitive mistakes, and quality concerns
• Assists other Quality Control personnel as requested
• Ensures that all precast products are correctly marked
