Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure in Ogden, UT is seeking a Quality Control Technician to perform daily QC tasks on raw materials, in-process components, and final products within an industrial setting.

The role reports to the Quality Control Manager and requires hands-on testing, data documenting, and adherence to safety and quality procedures. Candidates should have concrete experience, basic math skills, and readiness to obtain QC certifications within months.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Quality control experience in construction, concrete preferred.
• Basic math and geometry skills; able to read instructions.
• Ability to obtain QC certifications within months of hire.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. continuously or periodically.

Responsibilities

• Participate in Corrective Action Reports for nonconforming product
• Monitor production operations and report deficiencies
• Perform material gradation testing as necessary
• Perform daily wet tests for concrete production pours
• Perform daily compressive strength testing of hardened concrete
• Maintain quality records and calibration of lab equipment
• Report process improvements and quality concerns to management
• Assist other QC personnel as requested
• Ensure precast products are correctly marked
