Job summary

CRH's Oldcastle Infrastructure in Ogden, UT is seeking a QC Technician to perform daily quality control tests on raw materials, in-process components, and finished concrete products. You will work in an indoor/outdoor manufacturing setting and report to the Quality Control Manager.

The role requires attention to detail, ability to read specifications, lift up to 40 lbs, and willingness to obtain ACI field testing certification within months of hire.

Qualifications

• Experienced in quality control within construction or concrete environments.
• Ability to read and interpret specs and procedures.
• Capable of basic math and geometry for testing and calculations.
• Willingness to obtain Quality Control Certifications (ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician).
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs and work in manufacturing settings.

Responsibilities

• Participate in corrective action reports for nonconforming product.
• Monitor production operations and report deficiencies.
• Perform material gradation testing as needed.
• Perform daily wet tests for concrete production pours.
• Perform daily compressive strength testing of hardened concrete specimens.
• Maintain quality records, reports and inspections.
• Maintain calibration of lab equipment and report issues.
• Report to management on process improvements and quality concerns.
• Assist other QC personnel as requested.
• Ensure precast products are correctly marked.
