Job summary

Oldcastle APG, INC. is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to perform inspections and tests during the manufacturing process. You will review materials, parts, and finished products for defects and recommend improvements to ensure quality.

The role requires familiarity with lab equipment, adherence to ASTM standards, and strong written and verbal communication. The position is on-site with comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple operating instructions and safety procedures.
• Familiar with manufacturing lab equipment and ASTM standards.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Able to lift objects weighing up to 75 pounds with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality control inspections, checks and tests during manufacture.
• Inspect products for defects and remove junk from production line.
• Inspect parts and products at different stages of production.
• Regularly inspect raw material handling for quality issues.
• Prepare materials and products for testing in-house and 3rd party.
• Test all products and materials and record results; monthly in-house and bi-annual 3rd party minimum.
• Compile, interpret and analyze results and reports; email to management.
• Ensure all measuring devices are calibrated and maintained.
• Verify mixer and aggregate bin probes are calibrated and maintained.
• Calculate adjustments to correct product as needed.
• Support manufacturing team in producing high-quality products.
• Visit sites to test machinery and propose improvements.
• Know applicable ASTM standards and ensure compliance.
• Train production staff in QC/QA testing and checks.
