Job summary

Altec Fenex in Illinois is seeking a hands-on equipment maintenance associate to assist quality techs, perform PDI and DOT inspections, drive forklifts, and support production across multiple cells.

You will maintain clean work areas, follow safety policies, read schematics, use basic tools, and be willing to cross-train to meet production needs. Day shift, four ten-hour days, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License and a clean driving record are required.
• Attention to detail and reliability are essential.
• Experience with maintenance and general cleaning is a plus.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple departments and operate forklift safely.

Responsibilities

• Assist quality techs with inspections and troubleshooting.
• PDI and DOT inspections.
• Chassis Receiving and Chassis Recall.
• Offsite Transportation and Inspect Equipment on delivery.
• Assist production techs as needed and cross-train in other areas.
• Operate a forklift safely and maintain PPE care.
• Read and interpret schematics and work orders.
