Job summary

Tilcon New York Inc., a CRH company, seeks a quality control technician responsible for testing crushed aggregates, recycled materials, and hot mix asphalt at its Wharton, NJ location. Travel to other sites may be required. The role emphasizes safety, compliance with ASTM/AASHTO, and timely data delivery to plant personnel.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED (or 3+ years experience) with proficiency in MS Office and a willingness to work overtime and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Read English language sufficient to understand specifications, reports, manuals and regulations.
• Use a computer to communicate and analyze data (Outlook, MS Office, web-based programs).
• Perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another.

Responsibilities

• Provide test data to plant manager and other plant personnel in a timely manner.
• Offer process and mix adjustment recommendations as required.
• Maintain current State agency QC/QA certifications, staying in compliance with agency specifications.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date data base and record logs.
• Support internal customers by reviewing material specifications and test results.
