Job summary

Tilcon New York Inc., a CRH company, operates in New York and New Jersey with multiple quarry locations and plants producing crushed stone, asphalt, sand and gravel.

The Quality Control Technician will test aggregates and asphalt, float between Haverstraw, NY and Pompton Lakes, NJ, and travel to other sites as needed.

Strong OSHA/MSHA compliance, data reporting, and teamwork are essential; a HS diploma or GED is required, with 3+ years of related experience; a BS is preferred.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED or 3+ years of practical work experience.
• Bachelor’s degree (BS/BE) preferred or equivalent.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Perform quality control testing on aggregates, recycled materials and hot mix asphalt per state/local standards.
• Provide timely test data to plant management and staff.
• Make process and mix adjustment recommendations to maintain quality.
• Maintain QA/QC certifications and accurate data records.
• Support internal customers (sales, construction, estimating, operations, management) with test results and material specs.
