Job description

We are looking for a Digital Video QC Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess at least 1 year of experience working in QC with various formats of digital video, audio, and timed text sources, with a focus on streaming video. Master-level QC experience and familiarity with DVD and Blu-ray navigation are a plus. Keen attention to detail is essential. The QC Technician will perform technical evaluations of all audio and video elements, compare features, content, and functionality to project specifications, identify issues and inconsistencies, and verify that end products align with client preferences. In addition to linear QC of feature and episodic content, the technician will conduct technical file format and specification reviews to ensure compatibility. This is a great opportunity for someone who is team-oriented, technically skilled, systems-oriented, and has an overall "Roll Up Your Sleeves" approach to troubleshooting.

Position is located in Chelsea, NY.

Requirements:

1. Complete linear and master QC reviews of streaming digital video/audio files to platform specifications (e.g., iTunes, Netflix, Hulu, Amazon).
2. Knowledge of various audio/video formats (Pro-Res, mp4, etc.) and timed-text formats (.scc, .itt, etc.).
3. Ability to work in Resolve and other NLE systems as part of the daily workflow.
4. Check for errors and evaluate the overall quality of digital video, audio, and timed text assets.
5. Clearly identify and describe the severity and location of issues found in assets.
6. Confirm basic technical requirements using industry-standard hardware and software.
7. Submit accurate reports based on findings and provide additional details if requested.
8. Work independently as well as with peers and managers.
9. Maintain strong attention to detail and focus.
10. Abide by security policies.
