Job summary
Bio-Techne Corp. in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a Research Associate for ProteinSimple QC to perform routine quality control testing on reagents and systems (iCE, SimpleWestern). You will plan, execute, and manage QC processes and maintain detailed records.
The role requires biology/chemistry/engineering knowledge with 0–2 years lab experience, including data analysis and SOP updates. Travel and mentorship opportunities may be limited to on-site tasks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, engineering or similar with 0–2 years lab experience.
- Associates degree with 2+ years relevant GMP or life science quality experience.
- Ability to pipette and perform electrophoresis, isoelectric focusing, and western blotting.
- Work independently with minimal supervision and strong organizational skills.
- Experience with MS Office and data analysis tools (JMP, GraphPad).
Responsibilities
- Run QC assays for reagents and consumables, analyze results and review trending data.
- Record precise lot numbers, expiration dates and observations.
- Revise SOPs of low complexity.
- Initiate deviation and out-of-spec investigations.
- Maintain inventory of reagents and consumables for QC assays.
- Support continuous process improvements and safety procedures.
