Job summary

Bio-Techne is seeking a QC-focused analyst to perform routine quality control testing and manage reagent QC processes. You will ensure lot status alignment with product release and interface with Manufacturing, Process Engineering, Product Support, and QA to meet objectives.

The role requires laboratory capabilities in analytical techniques, data analysis, and meticulous documentation, with a strong emphasis on safety and quality standards. Knowledge of GMP practices is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Engineering or similar science degree with 0-2 years of laboratory experience.
• Associates degree or non-scientific bachelor’s with 2+ years’ relevant experience in a GMP or life science quality position.

Responsibilities

• Run QC assays for reagents and consumables, analyze results, and review trending data.
• Record lot numbers, expiration dates, and observations meticulously.
• Revise SOPs of low complexity.
• Initiate deviation and out-of-specification investigations.
• Maintain inventory of reagents and consumables.
• Follow lab safety, quality, and training procedures.
• Participate in continuous process improvements.

$40,300.00 - $66,250.00

Position Summary

Perform routine quality control testing to determine lot status and product release for the ProteinSimple capillary electrophoresis basis systems, including iCE and SimpleWestern. This position is responsible for planning, executing, and managing activities in the ProteinSimple liquid and lyophilized reagent QC process to ensure that all applicable objectives are met, and the product functions as expected. To be successful in this role candidate needs to be skilled in analytical techniques for analysis of biological assays. This position interfaces with Manufacturing, Process Engineering, Product Support, Assay Development and Quality Assurance.

Key Responsibilities

• Run QC assays for reagents and consumables, analyze results, and review trending data
• Precise and meticulous observation and recording of all details of QC assay, which are not limited to but including: lot numbers, expiration dates, and physical observations of materials
• Revise SOPs of low complexity
• Initiate deviation and out-of-specification investigations
• Keep a clean and organized workspace
• Maintain inventory of reagents and consumables needed to perform QC assays
• Participate in continuous process improvements efforts
• Understand and follow appropriate lab protocols

Education And Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Engineering or similar science degree with 0-2 years of laboratory experience.
• Associates degree or non- scientific bachelor’s with 2+ years’ relevant experience working in a quality position for a GMP or life science related industry.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Ability to pipette and perform techniques like electrophoresis, isoelectric focusing, and western blotting
• Basic understanding of electrophoresis techniques and data analysis.
• Work independently with minimal supervision on routine tasks and follow priorities set by supervisor
• Experience with MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook, JMP, GraphPad Prism
• Flexibility to work on multiple tasks with increased effectiveness
• Strong organizational skills with an attention to detail and quality
• Ability to support and help others in the team
• Manages time well and will put in extended time as needed
• Understanding of basic statistical principles
