Bob's Discount Furniture is seeking a Repair Technician to inspect, repair, and rewrap furniture pieces from the Shipping dock and Returns area. The role requires hands-on experience with case goods and upholstery repairs, using a variety of hand tools, and maintaining high attention to detail.

Job Overview The primary function of the Repair Technician is to open, inspect, deluxe, and rewrap product for special inspections on the Shipping dock. The Repair Technician will repair any pieces brought from the Shipping department that were found to be damaged during the loading process. The Repair Technician is stationed at the Repair Shop to open and inspect all product brought to this area from Returns or within the DC. The Repair Technician will determine the final disposition of these pieces.
To excel in this role, you will need to demonstrate strengths in the following skill areas: Core Competencies & Expertise Strong knowledge and competence in Case Goods repair, Upholstery repair, and other furniture related repairs. General understanding of warehouse/distribution center operations. Ability to safely and effectively utilize a variety of hand tools to perform repairs on merchandise. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to communicate proactively and effectively including comprehending and communicating detailed instructions, reading and writing, and having knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures as required by the position.

Starting hourly pay at $18.00 - $20.00/hour (Based on experience)

Ability to communicate proactively and effectively including comprehending and communicating detailed instructions, reading and writing, and having knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures as required by the position. High School Diploma or equivalent work experience. Minimum of 2-3 years of Repair Experience. Strong knowledge and competence on: Case Goods repair, Upholstery repair. Ability to identify various product types. Strong interpersonal and human relations skills. Must be at least 18 years old to be considered for employment with Bob’s.
Able to sit, walk, stand, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist, push, pull, climb, balance, crouch, push and handle and move items weighing up to 50 lbs without assistance.
