Job summary

Austin Bridge & Road, part of Austin Industries, is hiring a Quality Control Manager for the San Antonio, Texas project. The role leads QC/QA activities, ensures compliance with customer specs, and works with project leadership on day-to-day quality initiatives.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in airport or highway construction QC, strong leadership skills, and a track record of developing QC technicians. On-site work with comprehensive benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Technology/Construction Management or related field preferred
• Certification in Soils, Concrete, and Hot Mix Asphalt testing preferred
• PE License, NICET IV or EIT with 2+ years experience preferred
• Extensive knowledge of FAA and TxDOT specifications
• Experience supervising and developing QC Technicians

Responsibilities

• Oversee quality control functions at assigned project(s)
• Manage and implement quality control standards and inspections
• Develop QC Technicians and monitor their work
• Create a career path for QC/QA Technicians on assigned projects
• Evaluate resources needed to meet quality goals
