Job summary

Austin Bridge & Road, part of Austin Industries, seeks a Quality Control Manager in San Antonio, TX. This role leads QC functions on assigned projects, ensuring compliance with customer specs and safety excellence.

Responsibilities include developing QC technicians, implementing standards, and coordinating with project leadership to meet quality goals. Strong aviation/highway construction experience preferred; travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Technology/Construction Management or related field strongly preferred.
• Certification in Soils, Concrete, and Hot Mix Asphalt testing preferred.
• PE License, NICET IV, or EIT with 2+ years experience preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of FAA and TxDOT specifications.
• Extensive knowledge of construction material testing, reporting and procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise, train, and develop Quality Control Technicians.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the quality control functions at assigned project(s).
• Manage and implement quality control standards and inspect production to ensure customer spec compliance.
• Develop Quality Control Technicians and monitor their work.
• Create a career path for QC/QA Technicians on your projects.
• Evaluate and recommend resources to meet quality goals.
