Job summary

Lifecore Biomedical, LLC in Chaska, MN is seeking a QC Microbiology – Group Lead for the 2nd shift to oversee microbiology operations and provide technical leadership within the team. You will coordinate testing activities, review data, and ensure schedules are met to support internal customers.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in microbiology or related life science, 5+ years of lab experience, GMP leadership, and hands-on experience with sterility, bioburden, endotoxin, or environmental

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in microbiology or related life science.
5+ years’ experience in laboratory settings.
GMP laboratory experience with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
Hands-on experience with sterility, bioburden, endotoxin, or environmental monitoring.
Cleanroom experience strongly preferred.
Proven ability to evaluate, organize, prioritize and direct workflow.

Responsibilities

Lead and mentor QC staff to foster professional growth.
Coordinate QC activities including raw material, in-process, stability, and product release testing and environmental monitoring.
Identify, support and conduct lab investigations and corrective actions.
Identify and report OOT and OOS results during testing.
Troubleshoot equipment, methods, and testing issues to ensure timely resolution.
Assist in scheduling, performing, and reviewing testing to maintain workload.
Perform testing as needed to support operations.
