Job summary

Lifecore Biomedical, LLC in Chaska, MN is seeking a QC Microbiologist – Group Lead for the 2nd shift. You will coordinate testing activities, review data, and provide technical leadership within the microbiology team to ensure testing schedules are met.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's degree in microbiology, 5+ years in lab applications, GMP lab experience with at least 1 year in a leadership role, and hands-on experience with sterility or environmental monitoring.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in microbiology or related life science.
• 5+ years’ experience in lab applications.
• GMP laboratory experience with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
• Hands-on experience with sterility, bioburden, endotoxin, or environmental monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support QC laboratory activities, including raw material, in-process, stability, and product release testing and environmental monitoring.
• Lead and mentor a designated group of QC staff, establishing expectations and fostering professional growth.
• Identify, support and conduct lab investigations and implementation of corrective actions.
• Identify and report OOT and OOS results as testing is in progress.
• Troubleshoot laboratory equipment, methods, and testing issues to ensure timely resolution.
• Assist in scheduling, performing, and completion/review of testing activities.
