Job summary

Made Scientific in East Norriton, PA, seeks a Manager of Quality Control Microbiology to lead the QC microbiology laboratory, ensure compliance with cGMP, and coordinate release testing of products. This role reports to the QC Director and requires strong leadership and collaboration with Facilities and Manufacturing.

You will develop and mentor staff, manage environmental monitoring, review methods, CAPA, deviations, and ensure timely testing with strict turn‑around times.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Microbiology or related life science.
• 5+ years in QC Microbiology in biotech/pharma/cell therapy in a cGMP setting.
• Experience leading lab personnel and collaboration across functions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the QC microbiology team.
• Coordinate release testing, stability testing, and turnaround times.
• Review/approve microbiology methods, protocols, and test reports.
• Manage deviations, CAPA, change controls, and environmental monitoring.
