Job summary

bioMerieux Inc. in Missouri seeks an experienced microbiology professional to support testing of disposable cards, set up Vitek cards, and perform environment testing with proper documentation. A strong emphasis on safety and cGMP procedures is required.

You will handle sample preparation, autoclaving, environmental monitoring, and maintain laboratory paperwork while ensuring compliance with company quality standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in microbiology or clinical laboratory.
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• A four-year degree in biology, microbiology, or related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Test products as scheduled per procedures and specifications.
• Set up and perform physical inspection of products per procedures and specifications.
• Label cages to note status of product for disposition and manage reserve samples.
• Unpack, maintain, and organize laboratory supplies/inventory.
• Collect and test Environmental Monitoring samples from production areas.
• Utilize and maintain automated systems for sample preparation and testing.
• Prepare laboratory supplies for autoclaving and run the autoclave.
• Prepare and dispense microbiological suspensions per procedure.
• Prepare, complete, and maintain all relevant laboratory paperwork per procedures and regulations.
• Perform all work in compliance with quality procedures and standards.
