Job summary

bioMérieux is seeking a skilled laboratory technician to support testing of disposable cards, set up Vitek cards, and perform environmental monitoring in a cGMP environment. The role emphasizes aseptic technique, accurate documentation, and safety-conscious practices.

Responsibilities include testing per procedures, inspecting products, managing inventory, and supporting QC projects. Candidates should have a strong microbiology background and familiarity with automated systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience working in a microbiology or clinical laboratory.
• Bachelor’s degree in biology, microbiology, or related field preferred.
• Experience with Environmental Monitoring and VITEK systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Test products as scheduled per procedures and specifications.
• Set up and perform physical inspections of products.
• Label cages to note product status for disposition and manage reserve samples.
• Unpack, maintain, and organize laboratory supplies/inventory.
• Support QC and other projects as requested by management.
• Collect and test Environmental Monitoring samples from production areas.
• Operate and maintain automated systems for sample preparation and testing.
• Prepare laboratory supplies for autoclaving and run the autoclave.
• Prepare and dispense microbiological suspensions per procedure.
• Maintain all laboratory paperwork per procedures and regulations.
• Perform work in compliance with quality procedures and standards.
