Insight Global is seeking a QC Manager to support and oversee projects on a federal Quality Management Plan (QMP) for Cherry Point, NC. The role works with project managers, superintendents, and engineers to implement robust quality controls on projects around $30 million.

The successful candidate will establish QC procedures, review documents for constructability, train QC personnel, and lead inspection activities to ensure compliance with codes, standards, and client expectations.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain quality control procedures and standards for the project.
• Inspect and review projects; monitor compliance with building/safety codes; ensure materials/workmanship meet specs.
• Investigate issues; troubleshoot quality of work and materials.
• Oversee training and management of QC personnel.
• Document QC activities and maintain project records.
• Review contract and project docs for constructability and accuracy; help train teams.
• Analyze construction documents and submittals to extract critical quality elements for QMPs.
• Collaborate to assign inspection roles and manage the inspection process.
• Participate in and lead QC meetings (pre-installs, kick-offs, reviews, progress meetings) to support QMP quality health.
• Lead by example in quality planning and inspections; manage conformances/non-conformances.
• Interface with architects/engineers/owners to ensure quality compliance.
• Assess effectiveness of QMP implementation and communicate insights to teams and leadership.

Insight Global is seeking a QC Manager to provide support and oversight of project teams implementing our client’s Quality Management Plan (QMP) on federal projects in Cherry Point, NC. This role would support projects around $30 million. The role requires working together with project managers, superintendents, and engineers to form an effective approach to quality management on behalf of their clients. • Establish and maintain quality control procedures and standards for the project.
• Inspect and review projects; monitor compliance with building and safety codes, and ensure that all materials and workmanship meet project specifications
• Investigate Issues: Troubleshoot any reported issues with the quality of work and materials
• Oversee the training and management of quality control personnel
• Ensure proper documentation of all quality control efforts and maintain project records
• Review contract documents and other project documents for constructability and accuracy. Help train project teams to do the same.
• Understand, critically analyze, and extract critical quality elements from construction documents, submittals, etc. in support of developing QMPs.
• Collaborate with project teams to establish roles and responsibilities for scheduling inspections, managing the inspection process, and participating in and leading inspection walks.
• Participate in and lead portions of quality-related project meetings including, but not limited to, pre-installation meetings, preconstruction meetings, kick-off meetings, mock-up review meetings, first-work inspections, subcontractor weekly syncs, specification reviews, owner progress meetings and others as deemed necessary to provide support and oversight of the QMP and the quality health of the project.
• Lead by example with quality planning and inspection of work in place, support the managing, documenting, and tracking of conformances and non-conformances.
• Interface with architect, engineers, and owner representatives along with project teams to ensure understanding of and compliance with quality requirements and expectations.
• Review the effectiveness of project teams at implementing and executing each quality management plan and be able to communicate with project teams and regional leadership on the quality health of projects and offer suggestions for improvement.
