Job summary

McMillen, Inc. is seeking a Quality Control Manager with heavy civil construction experience to lead the QA/QC program on dam and lock electrical projects.

This role requires ensuring contractual compliance, coordinating inspections and testing, and maintaining meticulous QC documentation across multiple sites, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field highly desired.
• 5+ years of heavy civil construction experience in a Quality Control capacity.
• Experience with dam and lock electrical work is required.
• Previous USACE experience is a plus.
• USACE CQCM certification or ability to obtain certification.
• OSHA 30 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Quality Control practices and procedures.
• Ensure all work complies with contractual requirements, specifications, and drawings.
• Verify materials incorporated into the project meet approved submittals and specifications.
• Execute required testing procedures in accordance with contract documents and industry standards.
• Prepare professional correspondence for clients, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders.
• Monitor, document, and track QC documentation, including daily reports, testing and inspection reports, and preparatory/initial meetings.
• Review special inspections and material testing performed by third parties.
