Job summary

P1 Construction, LLC is seeking a QC Manager for our fabrication shop in Lawrence, KS. This role reviews production specs to determine code of construction, welding procedures, and NDE requirements (if applicable).

You will communicate findings to the production team and oversee weld quality to ensure compliance. The ideal candidate has at least five years of pipefitting field experience, Journeyman level, and a Certified Weld Inspector credential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certified Weld Inspector certification required or in process.
• Minimum 5 years of full-time pipefitting field experience at journeyman level.
• Union piping background preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), plus Outlook, Windows, and Internet.

Job Summary

This position reviews all production job specs to determine code of construction, welding procedures, and requirements for NDE (if applicable). Qualifications and Skills

• Education:
  • High school Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Certified Weld Inspector certification required or in process (documentation of future testing registration is required if in process).
• Experience:
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of full-time Pipefitting field trade experience; must have obtained Journeyman level or equivalent.
  • Union piping trade background preferred.
• Computer Skills: Accurate typing skills and proficient with computer, specifically Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), plus Outlook, Windows, and Internet. Must be able to quickly learn new software.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Must be able to satisfactorily pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
• Must be able to satisfactorily pass a motor vehicle record check. Must be able to meet P1 qualifications to operate a vehicle on company business. Must be at least 18 years of age. Must possess a valid driver’s license. Must have access to drive a well maintained vehicle. Must have up to date registration with the local Department of Motor Vehicles. Both the candidate and the vehicle must be currently covered on a personal insurance policy.
