Job summary

P1 Construction, LLC is seeking a Mechanical Piping Construction Estimator for the Lenexa, Kansas office. This role requires strong estimating skills, leadership of the estimators, and collaboration with marketing to pursue bids that align with our strategic goals.

The candidate should have at least five years of mechanical piping estimating experience, capable communication skills, and a valid driver's license. P1 offers comprehensive benefits and a safety-focused culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required; education path includes a construction or mechanical engineering degree OR 5+ years of mechanical construction/service experience or an equivalent combo.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical piping construction estimating.
• Experience bidding non-residential projects typically $250,000+ is preferred.
• Accubid Enterprise experience is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to pass criminal background check and drug screen; valid driver's license and insurability.

Responsibilities

• Computes cost factors and prepares estimates for management planning, bids, vendor/subcontractor selection, and cost effectiveness.
• Leads estimators and staff; manages assignments, performance, and training.
• Coordinates with Marketing to review market potential and bids aligned with company goals.
• Promotes the company’s capabilities when engaging with owners and general contractors.
