Job summary

Clendenin Lumber Co. in Donalds, SC is hiring a Quality Control Inspector to join our kiln-dried lumber operation. The role focuses on inspecting hardwood lumber to NHLA standards and customer specs, ensuring only quality product is released.

All training will be done in house. This full-time, first-shift position offers overtime opportunities and a comprehensive benefits plan. You will be part of a small team of inspectors, performing live audits, recording findings, and stopping production

Qualifications

• Previous experience in production quality inspection required.
• Must be self motivated and organized.
• Exceptional negotiation and problem solving skills.
• Ability to work with all levels of management.
• Basic computer skills a must

Responsibilities

• Learn general and species-specific aspect of inspecting Hardwood Lumber.
• Work with a team of 3-4 Lumber Inspectors.
• Conduct live production audits and make records of quality findings.
• Stop production activities when product does not meet industry or customer specifications.
• Adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Assist in downstream packaging requirements.
• Assist in production setup procedures.
• Assist with Yard projects as necessary.
• Strong communication skills and familiarity with working in a team-based environment.
• Other duties as assigned

Clendenin Lumber Co., located in Donald's SC is looking to add a Quality Control Inspector to our team. This is a great opportunity for an individual to join our Kiln Dried Lumber operation as a Quality Control Inspector. This position is responsible for inspecting Hardwood Lumber in accordance with NHLA grading standards as well as proprietary customer requirements. Will be responsible for releasing a product that satisfies industry and customer expectations. All training will be completed in house.

Quality Control/Lumber Inspector Responsibilities:
