Job summary

Clendenin Lumber Co. in Donalds, SC is seeking a Quality Control Inspector for our Kiln Dried Lumber operation.

You will inspect hardwood lumber in accordance with NHLA grading standards and customer specifications, and release products that meet industry and customer expectations. You will work with a small team on the floor, conduct live production audits, and help ensure adherence to safety and environmental guidelines.

Qualifications

• Experience in production quality inspection required.
• Must be self motivated and organized.
• Excellent problem solving and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work with all levels of management.

Responsibilities

• Inspect hardwood lumber per NHLA grading standards and customer requirements.
• Work with a team of 3–4 lumber inspectors.
• Conduct live production audits and record quality findings.
• Stop production when product does not meet specifications.
• Follow plant safety and environmental guidelines.
