Job summary

Clendenin Lumber Co. in Donalds, SC is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to join our Kiln Dried Lumber operation. You will inspect hardwood lumber to NHLA grading standards and customer requirements, release compliant product, and support production teams to maintain quality.

Training is provided in house and you will work with a small team to conduct live quality audits, document findings, and uphold safety and environmental guidelines. This is a full-time, first-shift role with benefits.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in production quality inspection required.
• Must be self motivated and organized.
• Exceptional negotiation and problem solving skills.
• Ability to work with all levels of management.
• Basic computer skills a must.

Responsibilities

• Learn general and species-specific aspects of inspecting Hardwood Lumber.
• Work with a team of 3-4 Lumber Inspectors.
• Conduct live production audits and record quality findings.
• Stop production activities when product does not meet specs.
• Adhere to plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Assist in downstream packaging requirements.
• Assist in production setup procedures.
• Assist with yard projects as necessary.
• Strong communication skills and teamwork.
• Other duties as assigned.

Clendenin Lumber Co., located in Donald's SC is looking to add a Quality Control Inspector to our team. This is a great opportunity for an individual to join our Kiln Dried Lumber operation as a Quality Control Inspector. This position is responsible for inspecting Hardwood Lumber in accordance with NHLA grading standards as well as proprietary customer requirements. Will be responsible for releasing a product that satisfies industry and customer expectations. All training will be completed in house.

Quality Control/Lumber Inspector Responsibilities
