Job summary

NaturPak is seeking a Retort Operator - QC Tech for the 2nd shift in Janesville, WI. The role performs X-ray and weight checks, collects samples, and records data to ensure product specifications are met in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate follows SOPs, has strong attention to detail, and is comfortable operating testing equipment such as scales, thermometers, X-ray machines, and conductivity meters.

Qualifications

• Must follow written specifications, measurement procedures, and SOPs accurately.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on accurate data collection and documentation.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and record management.
• Ability to use testing equipment including scales, thermometers, X-ray machines, and conductivity meters.

Responsibilities

• Obtain the spec sheet from the supervisor and verify lot number, use by date, batch code, weights before the run starts.
• Set up printer, weight checker, and X-ray machine at the start of each production run.
• Perform X-ray and weight checks every hour to verify product integrity and spec compliance.
• Enter production run information accurately into the computer system.
• Collect initial packages for preoperational testing at run start.
• Test product weight, temperature, salt content, volume, drain weight, and noodle weight every 15 minutes.
• Conduct conductivity testing by collecting packages and verifying noodle weight every 15 minutes.
• Check seal integrity and measure seal width on test intervals.
• Print and verify all production data after run and test equipment for end-of-run validation.
• Clean the testing and work area after production.
