dsm-firmenich in Schenectady, NY is seeking a Lead Technician, Quality Control to analyze and test GMP materials and finished products, releasing testing per compendia and quality systems. This role sits within the Health, Nutrition and Care (HNC) division, producing liquids and dry blends for dietary supplements and food.

You will perform analyses with HPLC, calibrate equipment, prepare standards, and support OOS investigations while training colleagues.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline preferred or Associates with lab work experience.
• 1-2 years of experience in a life science lab using instrumentation (HPLC, ICP, IR).
• Broad knowledge of quality control techniques and GMP rules.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• LIMS experience a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Autonomous accomplishment of analysis in the laboratory.
• Prepares standards, mobile phases, and reagents.
• Maintains, calibrates, validates, monitors, and troubleshoots laboratory equipment (HPLC, ICP, IR, etc.).
• Analyzes raw materials, intermediates, stability samples and finished products for required tests by various analytical methods.
• Performs calculations, collects and prepares data for evaluation.
• Reviews data to ensure accuracy prior to reporting.
• Trains new colleagues.
• Performs administrative lab tasks, such as updating Specification sheets and SOPs.
• Performs investigation of OOS/NI and supports colleagues in OOS/NI investigations.
