Job summary

Arkema in Chester, SC (Coatex Plant) is seeking a QC Lab Technician to perform quality control testing of raw materials and products and maintain ISO-compliant records. You will work under the Quality Supervisor and participate in daily safety meetings and plant initiatives.

The role requires 1–2 years of lab experience, a two-year technical degree is preferred, and proficiency with Excel/Word/Access. Shift-based environment and ongoing training are part of the job.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of lab experience in a manufacturing facility.
• Two-year technical degree preferred.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, and Access.
• Physical requirements include continual standing and climbing stairs in the plant.
• Training to ship hazardous and dangerous goods internationally and domestically.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality control testing of raw materials and products.
• Maintain records and work instructions required for the ISO program.
• Operate laboratory instrumentation to analyze samples from production, shipping, and customers.
• Maintain QC Lab equipment and consumables; manage inventory and purchasing.
• Manage all QC Lab data using SAP, Excel, Lotus, Success Factor, and lab software.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized lab environment and participate in safety activities.
